Corn atole

Atole is a delicious drink to start the day with energy or to warm you up in a cold day!



  • 1 liter of water or milk
  • 4 tablespoons of corn flour
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Half a cone of piloncillo
  1. Boil the water with the cinnamon, and the sugar.
  2. When it is boiling, add one by one the tablespoons of corn flour moving constantly to avoid lumps.
  3. Move boiling for 5 more minutes and remove from the heat

Tip: you can make chocolate atole by adding a tablet of Chocolate Abuelita instead of the piloncillo.

You can add vanilla to make a vanilla flavoured atole or even blend different berries and add them to the atole.

You can also sweeten it with sugar or low calorie sweetener.

When made with water, it's perfect for vegans.
